Everyone's in the guild. Everyone's on a different quest.

Find your crew

Some of us are rebuilding a business. Some are changing how we live. Some are taming our tech, learning a skill, making art, or just trying something new. Crews are how we find the people on the same kind of quest, and they show up as a little crest next to your name.

Crews and quests come and go

The guild moves from campaign to campaign.

Like a D&D group finishing one adventure and setting out on the next, the guild runs in campaigns, one per quarter. Quests and crews pop up based on what people actually want, run for the campaign, end with a proper finale, and go into the Chronicle. Then a new campaign begins, and you choose again.

A quest appears

Ideas pop up from what members are working on and what they ask for.

The party gathers

People raise a hand. Enough hands, and a crew or quest forms.

The adventure

The campaign runs: calls, side quests, check-ins, small wins.

The finale

Show what you made, celebrate it, and say what you learned.

Into the Chronicle

It goes in the record. Crews disband, re-form, or change shape for the next campaign.

The first campaign shapes the crews.

Whoever joins in the first round decides what the crews actually become. While the guild is small, there will probably be three crews or fewer. The six below are inspiration to react to, not the plan.

Inspiration · six possible crews

Crews that might form.

A starting point to react to. Whatever crews exist in a campaign, yours is about what you're working on right now, not who you are forever. Switch whenever your quest changes.

How it shows up

A small crest next to your name.

In the guild chat, on the quest board, and later in the Guild App, your crew's crest sits by your name, so you can spot the people who are wrestling with the same kind of thing.

  • One main crew, chosen by you, changeable any time.
  • Crew quests now and then: small challenges for people on the same path.
  • No sorting hat. Nobody gets put in a box. You know yourself best.
Other ways this could go

Alternatives on the table.

The same idea could take a few different shapes. These are here to compare, and the final version may borrow from more than one.
